Boat sinks near Florence; 2 rescued

FLORENCE — The U.S. Coast Guard rescued two men from a fishing boat that sank near Florence.

Petty Officer Kelly Parker says the crew aboard the 36-foot boat reported that the vessel named Hot Tuna was taking on water early Sunday about 1,000 yards from the Siuslaw River entrance.
