I had never set foot inside an Izzy’s before. I had no idea I was entering a buffet-style restaurant.

Izzy’s sign, after all, advertises “Grill, Bakery, Salads, Pizza.” Television commercials show thick steaks and juicy salmon fillets sizzling on a grill.....
