If Sen. Jeff Merkley (Bulletin, Page A1, June 3) and his fellow Democrats and Republicans are truly concerned about diminishing carbon dioxide production while stimulating the economy, they could do it in one strike of a pen: 100 percent tax credit for anyone purchasing solar power systems....
