CLE ELUM, Wash. — Cle Elum’s City Council took a few minutes for monkey business. Or, more accurately, chimp business.

On Tuesday night, the council voted to designate seven chimpanzees at a Cle Elum-area sanctuary as honorary citizens of the central Washington town.
