Groups seek increased protection for sea turtles

COOS BAY — Three environmental groups are suing to enhance protection for leatherback sea turtles by establishing a critical habitat.

The National Marine Fisheries Service has had protection in place for the turtles since 2001, from Point Conception, Calif., to the north Oregon Coast.....
