Bill Merrill put this fly, an adaptation of the old Sheep Creek, to good use on high mountain lakes and then later at Lava Lake. Fished wet, it can suggest an emerging chironomid, a backswimmer or a snail. Fished dry, it can resemble an ant or a midge.
