PORTLAND — A 4-year-old boy underwent surgery at a Portland hospital Sunday after falling from a train bridge into a creek.

Sgt. Mike Cooke of the Clark County, Wash., Sheriff’s Office says the boy’s injuries are serious, but not life-threatening.
