Crook County schools hope for tax to avoid some, but not all, future cuts

A projected $3.6 million shortfall next school year could force the Crook County School District to cut nearly 40 teachers, counselors and other staff, while pinning hopes on a local option tax to save athletics, all-day kindergarten and extra-curricular activities.
