Daniel O’Hern, New Jersey justice once criticized by President Reagan

Daniel O’Hern, a longtime associate justice of the New Jersey Supreme Court whose 231 majority opinions helped define state policies on issues like the death penalty, law enforcement and homelessness, died Wednesday at his home in Little Silver, N.J. He was 78.
