Bend’s King 40th in World Cross Country event

AMMAN, Jordan — Max King, of Bend, placed 40th on Saturday in the 37th IAAF World Cross Country Championships.

King, who finished with a time of 37 minutes and 5 seconds in the 12-kilometer race, was the third of six American runners to cross the finish line.
