Transit panel offers its recommendations

Advisory committee proposes 2 fee increases — on riders and business licenses — but wants to keep weekend service running; 2 routes eyed for changes, too

A proposal that would cut weekend bus service in Bend was rejected Tuesday by members of the Bend Area Transit Public Transportation Advisory Committee, who said they want the city to try to preserve weeklong service despite a difficult budget situation.
