Late winter storms boost the region’s snowpack to 97 percent of average, which means more water for local irrigators and likely a longer ski season

A weekend-long storm brought up to 3 feet of mountain snow and had an immediate impact on resorts and on the snowpack in the Upper Deschutes and Crooked River basins. There was less snow in Bend, where it snowed late on Sunday night and Monday morning.
