Stop the bike tax bill

It’s not every day that a Republican legislator calls for a new tax and a new expansion of bureaucracy. Rep. Wayne Krieger, R-Gold Beach, did.

He is one of the chief sponsors of House Bill 3008. He wants a tax on adult bicycle owners.

The bill puts a $54 registration fee on bicycles....
