Elise Mudd Marvin, generous donor to colleges, symphony

LOS ANGELES — Elise Mudd Marvin, a founding trustee of Pitzer College who was also a generous donor to the Los Angeles Philharmonic and other leading cultural institutions in Southern California, has died. She was 79.

Marvin died Jan. 13 at her home in Pasadena, her family announced.....
