Small town’s only business closing

ADAMS — The bad economy has claimed all the business in a northeastern Oregon town — the Adams Store and Cafe.

Owner Barbara Beamer says rising gasoline prices in the summer dealt the first blow, and business hasn’t picked up since.

Adams is northeast of Pendleton.....
