TERREBONNE — Jose Mendoza, 33, was driving to Bend for work when in an instant, his life changed dramatically.

At about 7:30 a.m on Jan. 2, Mendoza, a construction worker who owns his own company, was headed to a job in Bend when he was involved in a three-car accident.
