Good weather for Central Oregon in recent days has been good news for area golfers

Richard Sackerson was frustrated when November surgery for carpal tunnel syndrome prevented him from taking advantage of the unseasonably warm weather that stretched the end of the 2008 Central Oregon golf season.

But now the 72-year-old Redmond retiree is making up for lost time.
