Bald eagles’ migration begins despite freeze

KLAMATH FALLS — Bald eagles have begun their annual migration in Southern Oregon.

Recent subfreezing weather, however, has caused the birds to gather in areas not frozen over.

Dave Menke of the Klamath National Wildlife Refuges says he has seen 30 or so eagles along the Lower Klamath....
