Power glitch strands skiers

Mt. Bachelor outage left some stuck on lifts for up to 45 minutes

A power outage at Mt. Bachelor on Monday morning stranded skiers and snowboarders on chairlifts and interrupted operations for more than three hours.

Marketing Director Alex Kaufman said the resort lost power at 10:01 a.m., forcing lift operators to switch on the gas and diesel generators used....
