On the ice

With the return of cold weather to Central Oregon, the Bend Steelheaders Hockey Club on the rink in Sunriver

The Bend Steelheaders Hockey Club could be likened to a hard candy encased in a soft shell.

The club’s home rink consists of the dinky ice square in the middle of Sunriver Village Mall. Here, one would expect to find playland, carnival music blaring, and munchkins stumbling about.
