Varlamov wins NHL debut with Caps

MONTREAL — Mikael Nylander scored with 3:32 remaining in the third period, and Simeon Varlamov stopped 32 shots in his NHL debut to help the Washington Capitals beat the Montreal Canadiens 2-1 on Saturday night.
