Bulletin board postings, toilet maintenance and litter removal all depend on fees, which were down in 2008

This summer, the Deschutes National Forest used its portion of the $640,000 it collected last year from recreation fees to run 57 day-use sites and maintain 57 bulletin boards. The fees also paid to pump 32 toilets, help rebuild the Wickiup boat launch and repair two self-serve pay stations.....
