`It broke a little girl’s heart’

Misty, a quarter horse, shot dead near Prineville

Carrie Olson, 12, was en route Sunday to her grandparents’ house in Prineville, when she heard the news that her horse, Misty, had been fatally shot.

“I was pretty shocked and devastated,” Carrie said Monday.
