Heating oil prices drop 50 percent in past 4 months

The price of heating oil is down 30 percent from what it was a year ago, the Oregon Petroleum Association announced in a news release Friday.

Heating oil peaked at $4.53 per gallon in July, and is now down to $2.27 per gallon, according to the release.
