Wait for winter frost before storing dahlias

Wait until frost zaps the top growth of dahlias before digging the tubers for winter storage. Clumps should be lifted with a garden fork and cleaned of soil.

Allow the tubers to dry in the sun for a day. Then they can be trimmed of roots and stalks, divided, dusted in sulfur powder against rot....
