New local program for girls builds both self-esteem and muscles

Everyone who has learned how to ride a bike remembers the first time riding without training wheels. It was exhilarating to accomplish the supposed impossible and watch the faces of parents light up with encouragement.

Perhaps this is the same feeling that Girls on the Run of Deschutes County....
