NEW YORK — Rabbi Moshe Cotel, an acclaimed pianist and composer whose works were often infused with themes emanating from his deep Jewish roots, a weave of influences that only later in life led him to the pulpit, died Oct. 24 at his home in Manhattan. He was 65.
