Umpqua Bank’s parent reports gain

Portland-based Umpqua Holdings Corp., parent company of Umpqua Bank and retail brokerage subsidiary Strand, Atkinson, Williams & York Inc., reported third-quarter earnings Thursday of $13.6 million, or 23 cents per diluted share.
