Redmond district OKs a new charter school

The Redmond School District board voted Wednesday night to approve an application for a new charter school, according to a news release.

Redmond Proficiency Academy will start with about 50 students. Though an opening date has not been finalized, the school backers hope to open it early in 2009.....
