Central Oregonians compete in triathlon

PORTLAND — Five women from Central Oregon competed in the USA Triathlon Age Group National Championship Festival held on Saturday at Hagg Lake.

The triathlon consisted of a 1.2-kilometer swim, a 40-kilometer bike and a 10-kilometer run.

Karen Oppenheimer of Bend placed 227th overall....
