Smith, in Bend, says he’s optimistic energy tax credits ‘will go through’

Visiting the Bend headquarters of fuel cell manufacturer IdaTech on Friday, U.S. Sen. Gordon Smith told employees he is confident a congressional bill to extend the federal renewable energy tax credits will pass before the credits expire at the end of the year.
