Juniper Golf Club's ninth hole is his undoing

REDMOND — Bend golfer Andrew Vijarro might not want to play the ninth hole at Juniper Golf Club for a while.

The soon-to-be freshman at the University of Oregon lipped out a par putt Monday on the 36th hole that would have earned him a spot in the 2008 U.S. Amateur.
