Science camp creates lots of big reactions

Explosions are the main attraction, and not even gummy bears are safe

When asked what gummy bears look like when combined with potassium chlorate, Ella Crosby spread her arms wide with a grin on her face.

“It’s like a big ‘boom!’” she said.

With the right combination of heat and chemicals, an explosion can happen.....
