Salem girl pleads guilty to baby shaking death

SALEM — A 13-year-old Salem girl has pleaded guilty to shaking her 16-month-old niece to death while baby-sitting.

The teenager pleaded guilty to manslaughter Tuesday in Marion County Juvenile Court.

Prosecutors said the teenager will be placed in the custody of the Oregon Youth....
