Region’s courses got off to a slow start, but they say business is starting to pick up

In an effort to head off a possible drop in rounds from a sluggish economy, management at Prineville’s Meadow Lakes Golf Course decided to kick off the summer season with a stimulus package of its own — winter rates, even when the sun is blazing.
