Bend amps up Ride the River weekend bus service as more float the Deschutes

Some Central Oregonians who float the Deschutes River on everything from inner tubes to inflatable beds end up hauling their rafts back to where they started.

Floating the river through Bend became a lot easier in 2006, when Bend Area Transit rolled out its Ride the River bus service.
