Kristi Otteni made sure few were overlooked in La Pine

In the 30 years Kristi Otteni lived in La Pine, she pushed the city to new heights.

Otteni, who died Sunday at age 53 after a long battle with ovarian cancer, was an integral part in the development of La Pine from a small town to a city with services for people who are often overlooked.
