EUGENE —

Maybe it was the Oregon sweep and the dive that completed it.

Or perhaps it was the fastest 100 meters ever run by a human being.

Then again, maybe it was a Portland woman winning the 5,000 meters after already qualifying for the Olympics in the 10,000.

Whatever the signature....
