Bend gets a too-long night of Drive-By Truckers’ too-slick rock

I want to like the Drive-By Truckers.

I’ve wanted to like them for a long time. And I’ve tried to like them, quite a bit harder than I try with most bands.

I gave “Southern Rock Opera” a good listen in 2002. Same with “Decoration Day”....
