Bend runner wins 100-mile race for third time

SHERIDAN, Wyo. — Jeff Browning of Bend raced to victory in the Bighorn Trail 100 Mile Endurance Run, staged last Friday and Saturday.

Browning, 36, also won the grueling event in 2005 and 2006.

This year, he won the seventh annual race in 18 hours, 56 minutes, 28 seconds.
