Bend amateur baseball team tosses 8-0 shutout

Brisk weather and a nonleague opponent did nothing to dampen the mood at the Bend Elks’ season opener on Tuesday. More than 700 fans showed up to Vince Genna Stadium and watched the Elks defeat the Three River (Florence) Sandblasters 8-0.
