Sisters schools may start burning biomass for heat

Sisters School District is considering moving from heating oil to biomass heating, driven by the unpredictable and high cost of heating oil.

Students won’t be huddled around campfires or fireplaces, but school buildings could be heated by wood chips or pellets.
