When doctors removed a tumor from his brain, Matthew Wilderman — throughout the surgery — kept on talking.

Lying on the operating table, his head firmly screwed into a metal frame, Matthew Wilderman could hear the sounds of the instruments the doctor was using to operate on his brain on the other side of the blue surgical drapes.
