Emily Catherine Berke and Markus A. Bendel, both of Omaha, Neb., plan to marry June 21 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Bend.

The future bride is the daughter of Cliff and Susie Berke, of Bend. She is a third-year medical student at Creighton University in Nebraska.
