Trash rates on the rise in Madras

Collection company cites increasing business expenses, higher gas costs

Garbage pickup rates for Madras Sanitary Service customers will likely increase by as much as 7 percent starting July 1.

Residents who currently pay $17.49 each month for weekly pickup of their 32-gallon bins will now be charged $18.72. For those customers with 68-gallon bins, the rates will go....
