The Bend-La Pine School Board was wise enough Tuesday to say no to some easy money. The board voted not to levy a tax on new homes and commercial buildings.
We are grateful.
A new law allows school boards to charge up to 50 cents per square foot for commercial buildings and $1 per square foot....
