Corps urges safety near coastal jetties

COOS BAY — The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is reminding people to act safely when near the jetties along the coast.

The jetties were created to break waves and help mariners navigate between the Pacific Ocean and coast ports and were not constructed for recreation.
