Veneer mill goes up in smoke; 60 out of work

CRESWELL — As many as 60 people are out of work after a fire destroyed a veneer mill near Creswell.

No one was injured as the Bald Knob Veneer Co. mill went up in smoke Tuesday night.

The fire could be seen for miles in the Lane County area south of Eugene.
