Four area women have competed together in C.O.’s multisport race since 1997, when they were schoolgirls

When they were just schoolgirls growing up in Bend, “The Brady Bunch” made a pact to run the Pole Pedal Paddle every year from then on.

Nicknamed by a gym teacher after the kids from the popular 1970s TV sitcom, the six fourth-graders were inseparable.
