PORTLAND — Heroin deaths jumped 29 percent in Oregon in 2007.

State medical examiner Karen Gunson said Tuesday the 115 heroin deaths last year were the most since 1999.

Methamphetamine deaths, meanwhile, fell 21 percent to 71, and cocaine was blamed for 55 deaths, a drop of 14....
